The call-back script library — 8 scenarios, word for word
When a caller you missed texts back, their reply lands in your leads with their number attached. These are the scripts to use on the callback. Steal them, tweak them, ship them.
Free, and no email required — copy it, print it, or tape it in the truck.
Opening (first 6 seconds)
- Thanks for calling [Business], this is [Name]. Are you calling about an emergency or scheduling?
- [Business], how can I help? — [If emergency] Got it, staying on the line, tell me the address.
Booking a standard job
- Got it. What's the address? … And what's going on with the [job type]? … Perfect. Two options: tomorrow between 9 and 11, or Thursday between 1 and 3. Which works?
- Great. I'll text you a confirmation with the tech's name and ETA. If anything changes, text this number.
Handling 'how much does it cost?'
- Honest answer: it depends what we find. For a [job type], the diagnostic is [$X] and it comes off the repair if you go with us. Fair?
- Ballpark range for [job type] is [$X–$Y]. I can quote exactly once the tech sees it — no charge if you don't move forward.
After-hours triage
- Is water still running? … OK, shut off the main — it's usually near [common location]. I'm patching you to the on-call tech now.
- That sounds like it can wait til morning. First slot tomorrow is 8am — want it?
