From $1,800 (sample) · permit + inspection handled · power coordinated with the utility

How it works

No mystery, no surprise bill. Here’s exactly what happens from your call to the job done.

Load assessment

We add up what your home actually draws and what you’re about to add, then size the panel right — usually 200A.

Permit + utility

We pull the permit and schedule the brief power shut-off with your utility, so the swap is legal and safe.

The swap

Old panel out, new panel and breakers in, every circuit labeled clearly — typically a one-day job.

Inspection + sign-off

The inspector signs it off and you get the paperwork — important for insurance and resale.

Signs you need an upgrade

Any of these and it’s worth a free look before something forces the issue.

What it actually costs

$1,800 – $3,500 sample

A straightforward 100A-to-200A upgrade usually lands here; a full service change with a new mast or meter can run more. We give you the exact figure in writing after a look at your panel and meter — ask the assistant below what a typical upgrade involves.

What Springfield says

On a real build, these are your live Google reviews.

A homeowner, Ashwood sample

“Retired a 1970s fuse box for a clean 200A panel. Every breaker labeled, permit and inspection handled, done in a day.”

An EV + hot-tub owner sample

“My old panel couldn’t take the charger. Upgraded to 200A and now everything runs without the lights dimming.”

A remodel, Riverton sample

“Coordinated the utility shut-off so we barely lost power. Explained why 200A instead of just patching the old one.”

Questions

How long does a panel upgrade take?

Most 100A-to-200A upgrades are a one-day job. A full service change (new mast, weatherhead or meter base) can take longer — we’ll tell you which yours is before we start.

Will I lose power during the upgrade?

Only briefly, and we schedule the utility disconnect so it’s planned, not a surprise. Most of the day you’re working around a short, coordinated outage.

Do I really need 200A, or can I just fix the old one?

If you’re only tripping the occasional breaker, sometimes a repair is enough. But if you’re adding big loads (EV, AC, addition) or you’re on fuses, 200A is the right long-term call. We give you the honest answer, not the biggest invoice.

Is a permit required?

Yes — a panel is exactly the kind of work that needs a permit and inspection. We handle both. Unpermitted panel work can void insurance and stall a home sale.
